The way the body moves and why it moves the way it does has always been interesting the me. The potential for the body to heal, hold energy, and the stories it tells has fascinated me my whole life. When I was 4 years old I met a man on an international flight. Our conversation began when he declined the second meal. When I asked him why wasn’t he eating he told me he was coming home from India where he had been fasting for a month and studying with yogis. He told me stories of amazing things people could do with power and energy from fasting and he told me about the wise ones he studied with, he told me about meditation and yoga, When I was 17 a neighbor I babysat for introduced me to Buddhist meditation. Since then I have meditated off and on in my earlier years and steadily now for many years. In the 90’s I found Tai Chi and was hooked and dedicated to the art until I moved out of the country and it slowly faded from my life as a daily practice. In 2002 I finally made it to a yoga class and was also hooked right away. I started with Hot yoga. My teacher introduced me to his teacher and within a couple months I started my first yoga teacher training, Iyengar based with Tony Briggs. Since then I have completed 4 other teacher trainings. I started teaching yoga in 2006. In 2013 I finally reconnected with Tai Chi and have started teaching Tai Chi and Qigong.
